I had never worked with a dog like Rocky. He displayed an exceptionally high level of aggression combined with an extremely low threat threshold—a dangerous combination. Beyond learning how to train him, my greatest challenge was understanding what truly drove his behavior. How could I explain his reactions in terms of drives and emotions? None of the explanations I had learned from Armin fully fit what I was seeing.

It also depends on protecting the physical infrastructure that houses the servers, networking equipment, and critical systems. I have been thinking for a while about the amazingly good match between Rocky (BRN 52817) and Luna (BRN 51086). It is not that common for a breeder to intimately know both dogs. I have been training Luna ever since I got her as a puppy, and I have been training Rocky for over eight months. They both have incredible Dutch working pedigrees. I am very confident that their traits and abilities complement each other so very well. Let’s look in more detail at the potential of Rocky and Luna’s offspring.

According to recent news reports, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro experienced an arson attack at his mansion in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (PA). The perpetrator bypassed the Pennsylvania State Police guarding the mansion and managed to get inside. He then threw several Molotov cocktail bombs to set fires. Additionally, he intended to hit the governor with a hammer, but the State Police were able to stop him.
This incident highlights the vulnerability of properties secured by human security personnel, even highly trained state police. This article demonstrates how the K9 Tech Security system could have prevented this from happening.

This may sound ridiculous. After all, what do dogs’ ears have to do with detection? But we have been hearing a lot lately that customers prefer floppy ear dogs for their security detection work. We have looked at whether this perception is correct and at the pros and cons of using the two types of dogs.

In my previous article on aggression in dogs, I relied primarily on my early observations and the writings of Armin Winkler. Then I met Rocky.
