Guard Dog versus Protection K9

Many property owners are interested in guard dogs. However, there is a big difference between a guard dog and a trained protection dog. A typical guard dog is not trained to guard property. It works based on natural territorial instincts, barking and possibly biting an intruder out of fear. Guard dogs do not undergo extensive obedience and bite training. They may be effective in guarding a smaller territory but are unlikely to engage an intruder further away from the house or their kennel.

How K9 Technology protection dog is trained and activated

K9 Technology trains our protection to search and intercept an intruder on command. The command can be given automatically by our security system, by a property owner, or by a security monitoring operator.

The dog will either hold the intruder in place by aggressively barking or attacking the dangerous intruder. Our protection dogs can also serve as personal protection dogs outside the property. They refuse food from an intruder and will not stand next to the fence barking, allowing an intruder to injure them. How protection K9 dogs are housed

In most cases, our protection dogs are housed on the commercial site property in climate-controlled kennels. The owner does not have to take care of the dogs. We provide resources to walk, play, and train the dogs periodically.

AI surveillance technology

Video surveillance technology that we deploy for commercial sites may be different as well. Especially, in temporary sites such as construction sites, we can deploy self-contained video and audio towers powered by solar and battery and cover a large territory.

Cawamo AI analytics and management system

We integrated our video surveillance technology with our Cawamo AI based analytics system for alert management and video detection.

The benefits of our AI surveillance and analytics system goes beyond protection. Owners and managers can monitor the site remotely. Our Cawamo AI analytics system can be setup to generate alarms for various work related issues such as regulatory OSHA compliance.

For example, if workers do not comply with wearing yellow vests and safety helmets, our system can detect this variance and alert the off-site owner or manager. The system can also monitor other irregularities such as worker theft or worker absenteeism. The system can identify unauthorized vehicles that drive onto a construction site, for example.

Lower Cost Security Solution for Small Sites

The solution described on this page works well for large high value sites. If you own an acre or two commercial site that experiences some intrusion and theft, this solution may not be financially viable. For smaller sites, we have developed a lower price solution.

We first installed 1 to 4 digital cameras and our Cawamo AI based detection system. We also install one or two loudspeakers. We start with just a warning message blasting through the loudspeakers. In most cases this scare tactic works well to scare local thieves.

If the theft continues, then we place one of our local protection K9s with a security handler for just a night or two on the premises. The K9s are housed in a temporary doghouse on the premises. Once the K9 attacks the intruder, the local thieves get the message and pass on the protected property. Our security handler is responsible for bringing the K9 to premises for the night and responds to any alert to remove the dog from the intruder.

This service is lower cost than a full-time dog on premises because the dogs and handlers service their local area. The dog is placed for a limited time on premises only if the audio warning does not work.
