Luna is a well-balanced working dog. She is calm and highly intelligent, with a strong prey drive and a decent defensive drive. Luna can exhibit aggression when needed, particularly under prey drive conditions (refer to this article for more information about dog aggression and drives in working dogs).

Luna has earned multiple dog sport titles, including Schutzhund AD and IGP 3, as well as PSA PDC. We expect her to achieve the PSA PS1 title in 2025. Additionally, Luna is a certified explosive detection dog by AWD certification.

While many working sport dogs are trained to bite equipment (bite sleeves and/or bite suits) and are not capable of personal protection, Luna was trained to exhibit aggression in prey drive.

Luna is an ideal personal protection dog, but unfortunately, she is not for sale.

Pedigree

The pedigree of a dog is the most important indication of its suitability to do work and to do protection work.  Below is Luna’s pedigree.

LUNA PEDIGREE 2

You can see that most of Luna’s predecessors have IGP (also known as Schutzhund) or KNPV titles (German and Dutch working dog sports).  This is important as proof that Luna has extensive heritage of dogs who proved their suitability to do the type of work we need.  This pedigree record is missing any records of dogs being utilized in police or military work.

We know from separate records that some of Luna’s relatives were used by police departments in the USA.  The Dutch KNPV sport primary goal is to qualify dogs for being sold to Dutch police and military.  Therefore, it is likely that dogs with KNPV titles were also used by both police and military applications.
