Making Of The K9 Technology Movie

The official launch of our personal and property security business will begin with the premiere of our first commercial. Since we envisioned the most comprehensive security solution for large properties and their inhabitants, we realized that the best way to demonstrate its effectiveness is through a video. This is not just a commercial video for us; it is a real demonstration of our entire solution—a working prototype of our security system.

SIGN ON FENCE 1

It was important to find the most suitable property for demonstrating our solution. The property needed to have a fence and a large yard. Fortunately, a friend of ours lived in such a house. We prepared all the essential elements of the real setup. For example, we installed a sign indicating that the property was protected by our video surveillance system and warned of dogs. We highly recommend our customers to properly install no trespassing signs to warn potential intruders. We installed the entire system, including the camera, and pulled the Ethernet network cable.

We mounted the camera on a temporary PVC pole. We used a high-quality digital high-resolution camera for testing only. In our implementations, we use higher quality industrial-grade cameras.

Our guys mounted it on the fence line. In most implementations, we prefer to mount the cameras inside the property, pointed at the property boundary or fence. We try to hide the cameras, when possible. In some cases, we install the cameras on the fence posts as well to cover the fence line.

The team connected all the components to a local network and connected Cawamo’s edge computer to the cloud server. We tested detection capability. During the recording of the commercial video, the system performed a real detection of the person that played the criminal trespasser as shown in the next picture.

CAWAMO DETECTION SCREEN

For the purposes of the movie, we set up the detection zone right outside the fence boundary. In real-life implementation, we would set up the detection zone inside the fence line (behind the property line).

The only action that was not taken in the same place was the recording of our K9, Luna, exiting the kennel. We used a kennel made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It would have been very expensive to transport a kennel just for the purpose of taking this video. The kennel manufacturer let us set up a kennel on their property.

OUr experts outfitted the kennel with an electric magnet that opened the kennel’s hatch. We installed our sophisticated electronic relay system and triggered it to open the kennel. Once the lock was opened, Luna ran out in the direction to confront an intruder as she was trained.

It was critical to find a video producing partner with the best expertise, talent, proven results, and, of course, reasonable price. K9 Technology got lucky, again, finding and contracting Edge of Cinema from Exton Pennsylvania.

All of us can’t wait for the Edge of Camera team to finish editing this video for the premiere release! Our team will post an update on this News page.
