K9 Protection Dogs in Glendale, AZ
Imagine this: You and your family are walking downtown enjoying nice spring weather and looking for your favorite ice cream place. The sun is shining, and your small town is peaceful with spring flowers and trees in full bloom. Your children are ahead excited and laughing. Suddenly, you notice a quick movement of a man wearing a hooded shirt and sunglasses towards your daughter. He seems to carry a shiny object in his hand and screaming something strange. You are stunned at first, feeling powerless as you are unarmed and may not reach your daughter in time. But your loyal family guardian is already ready to act - all you must do is let go of the leash. How We Choose Our Personal Protection Dogs for Sale in Glendale, AZ
The first requirement for any dog we deem worthy of our protection canine program is that it must be bred to be a working dog.
Working Dogs 101
In the United States, the term "K9" has become the standard way to refer to working dogs. This abbreviation originated from police departments that started using "K9" to describe their police dogs, with K9 simply being a shorthand version of the word "canine," which refers to the family of animals that includes all dogs. As a result, K9 has become a common term for working police dogs.
But what exactly is a working dog? There are several types of working dogs. For instance, dogs that assist with hunting are considered working dogs, as well as those that are trained to pull carts to market. Generally, when we talk about working dogs, we refer to dogs that perform important tasks in police and military settings.

Our Family Protection Dog Selection Process
We select mature dogs aged 1.5 to 2.0 years, ideally with some basic training in working dog sports like KNPV, Schutzhund/IGP, or Mondioring. This allows us to assess their working character, training, health, and suitability for your needs.
After selection, we focus on training the dogs to meet our customers' specific requirements. These dogs must maintain a high level of obedience while also being prepared to respond to potential threats on command. Often, we train them to use a "hold and bark" technique, where the dog barks to warn of a threat when the owner gives a guard command. The dog will only bite if the person attacks or approaches the owner.
Our personal protection dogs can be trained and sold anywhere in the USA. Clients often refer their friends and family members to K9 Technology because:
- We Utilize an Effective Four-Step Selling Process
- Every Do is Selected to Meet Your Unique Needs
- Every Family Protection Dog is Trained with Your Family in Mind
- We Select Dogs from the Best Breeders in the World

Family Protection Dogs for Sale in Glendale, AZ Tailored to Your Needs
While there are certain essential traits that all K9 dogs we select must have, we also take into account the unique needs and preferences of each customer. We start that process by conducting a thorough interview to understand your situation and engage with each adult family member. We then visit your home and property, paying close attention to your living arrangements and specific circumstances. We'll ask you questions such as:
- Do you have children and their ages?
- Do you prefer the dog(s) to live inside or outside the house?
- Do you want a family dog that will spend time with you and your family or a protection dog that would focus on its primary task?
- Do you need a protection dog that you can take with you outside your property to provide protection?
- What are your security concerns, and what are the security risks you seek protection from?
- How large is your property, and what is the local weather?

The Importance of Dog Traits
Dogs, even those of the same breed and from the same litter, can have very different personalities. Some dogs are naturally more family-oriented and exhibit patience around small children, while others may not have that same temperament. Certain dogs are highly energetic and may not be suitable for living indoors with someone who lacks experience in handling working dogs.
Some dogs also possess strong prey and defensive instincts, showcasing a higher degree of aggression that can be valuable for addressing potential intruders. Conversely, there are also dogs that are more balanced and easygoing, yet still fully capable of dealing with your average criminal threat.
Selecting the right personal protection dog for your needs takes many years of experience and knowledge of dog behavior. That's why, at K9 Technology, we've assembled a world-class team for exactly this purpose.

Top 3 Family Protection Dogs for Sale in Glendale, AZ
At K9 Technology, one of the most common questions we get often revolves around what the best K9 protection dogs are. That's a difficult question to answer because every breed is different, and every family and individual will have different needs and goals with their protection dog. However, generally speaking, working dogs like the following breeds are often the best.
German Shepards
German Shepherds are commonly chosen to work alongside police officers for a good reason. They are courageous animals, displaying both confidence and boldness. Their high intelligence and ability to learn commands quickly make them a popular choice among individuals and families. When they join a household, they tend to have a calm demeanor and are very affectionate. However, don't be fooled; if their home is threatened, they will respond swiftly to protect their loved ones.

Belgian Malinois
The Belgian Malinois is a highly energetic breed that possesses the strength and vigor of a large dog, all while maintaining a lighter frame. Similar to Dobermans, Malinois are exceptionally intelligent and alert. Like many protective breeds, they require regular physical activity and mental challenges to truly thrive.

Dutch Shepherds
If you're looking for a versatile and highly intelligent protection dog, the Dutch Shepherd is an outstanding choice. Originally developed in the Netherlands for herding and guarding duties, this breed is known for its incredible work ethic, adaptability, and loyalty. Dutch Shepherds are extremely trainable, making them ideal for both personal and family protection.

The K9 Technology Difference
Investing in one or more K9 protection dogs for sale in Glendale, AZ, is a significant decision for you and your family. Our Selling Process Explained
Our four-step selling process is very thorough and is tailored to your needs, schedule, and family life. It includes:

Meet - Let's Get to Know Each Other
When our customers reach out, our first priority is to understand their security concerns. We want to know why you're considering a personal protection dog and what experiences led you here. Are you worried about being assaulted and sent to Amarsi Assisted Living near Glendale, AZ? Are you looking for a loyal companion to protect your family? Do you expect the dog to guard you at home, at work, while traveling, or all of the above?
Next, it's crucial to understand your lifestyle. Are you active? Do you have young children? Are you often on the go, and do you live in an urban, suburban, or rural setting? We also want to know your preferences for the personal protection dog (PPD). While some clients care less about appearance, others have specific ideas about size, coat type, and ear shape. It's important that you and your family feel comfortable with your new .
As we learn about you, we make it a point to be transparent about our philosophy. We aim to present the facts clearly to avoid any unrealistic expectations.

Search - We Find the Perfect Family Protection Dog for You
Once we get comfortable with each other, we can begin the search for a personal protection dog. While there might be one available immediately, this is quite rare. Keep in mind that no company can offer a wide variety of sizes, looks, and training levels. Be wary of vendors claiming otherwise, as those with large inventories often focus on selling what they have rather than what you truly need.
At K9 Technology, we tap into an extensive network of top kennels and trainers in the US and Europe. If we don't have a suitable dog available, we'll reach out within our network to find the right match for you

Train - K9 Technology Trains Your Personal Protection Dog
We typically select dogs aged 1.5 to 3 years with some basic training, ensuring they have the necessary obedience and drive. Each dog, even the best trained, undergoes a thorough evaluation and training period with our staff, which can last from 1 to 5 months. We assess what additional training is needed to meet your specific requirements.
Once our trainers are confident in the protection dog's skills, we place the dog with a staff member for a final evaluation, handling it as you would. When we believe the dog is ready for your home, we proceed to the next essential phase of our process.

Delivery - Enjoy Life with Enhanced Peace of Mind
This training course typically lasts from three days to over a week, depending on your experience and comfort level. You will practice real-life scenarios to learn how to instruct your dog to protect you. Throughout this process, we will spend time in your community and accompany you to ensure you feel comfortable taking on the role of handler with your new dog.
Remember, you are not just getting a pet; you are welcoming a trained working dog into your home. We will make sure you understand the basics of handling a working dog, including issuing commands and managing challenging situations.
For those with dog handling experience, we offer less guidance, while beginners receive the support they need to feel confident. We provide essential supplies, including leashes, collars, crates, and enough food and supplements for the first few weeks. We also assist you in finding local veterinarians and health professionals to keep your dog healthy
We visit the homes of all our customers to ensure everything is ready for their new family member. This visit may take place before introducing the dog or be combined with the introduction itself, depending on your preferences.

Post Malone and Jelly Roll bring their Big Ass Stadium Tour to Glendale's State Farm Stadium Saturday, June 21st, and while the promotion around many shows can be prone to hyperbole, Post and Jelly's tour unquestionably lives up to its name.
So far, it's been a blockbuster, star-studded affair, with Post Malone and Jelly Roll teaming up during virtually every headline set to perform their F-1Trillion stand-out, ‘Losers’.
Post has been treating audiences across North America to an array of incredible guests across his dates so far, including BigXthaPlug and Swae Lee, while Jelly has also been surprising attendees with A-list link-ups with Eminem and Brandon Lake.
It remains to be seen whether the two genre-blenders have any unexpected guests up their sleeves for this evening's show, but even if it's just Post, Jelly and Sierra Ferrell, it's safe to say you're in for a stellar show overflowing with hits and histrionics.
Doors are due to open at 5:30pm, with the first act due to perform at 6:30pm. Jelly Roll tends to kickstart his set at around 7:30pm, while Post Malone usually hits the stage at roughly 9pm - but, of course, bear in mind that these are subject to change.
Alongside Post and Jelly, you can look forward to seeing two exciting country prodigies, Chandler Walters and Wyatt Flores in Arizona. Classic country up-and-comer Walters is also part of Post's on-stage band, The Fools For You, so keep an eye out for him crushing the pedal-steel during the ‘Chemical’ hitmaker's headline set.
As you (hopefully) know, Post Malone is currently in his country era, so expect him to perform an array of traditional-leaning, steel-soaked earworms from his 2024 album, F-1Trillion, including ‘Dead at the Honky Tonk’, ‘M-E-X-I-C-O’ and ‘Pour Me a Drink’.
But if you've been a Posty fan from Day One, don't fret, as the ‘I Had Some Help’ hitmaker makes sure to include all his biggest hits, as well as a smattering of stand-outs from F-1Trillion, such as ‘Circles’, ‘Congratulations’, ‘White Iverson’ and more.
The venue has a strict clear bag policy - like most NFL venues - with the organisers advising that you avoid taking a bag, if you can. If you need your bag with you, it must either be a clear bag no bigger than 12” x 6” x 12” or a standard one gallon freezer bag. You can find the full requirements and bag policy here.
As for merchandise - always a keen topic of interest with Post Malone's loyal fanbase - there will be a host of options on-sale at merch booths around the stadium. Post and Jelly all have some fantastic styles on offer, with the former's range of t-shirts, hoodies, caps and more paying homage a variety of his eras, not just F-1Trillion.
The last piece of advice we have is to soak it all in and enjoy it! Post Malone and Jelly Roll are two contemporary musical titans, and they know how to put on a spectacular show - so if you're heading to State Farm Stadium, you're in for something special.

Glendale voters will decide future of $1.2 billion VAI Resort

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Developers of a new West Valley resort are making a high-stakes gamble by moving forward with plans to build corporate offices and a parking structure.
The problem is the property is not zoned for that kind of development, at least not yet. A labor group known as Worker Power has gathered enough signatures to leave this up to voters.
The Glendale city manager explained the city wants VAI resort’s headquarters, with the project set to bring in an estimated 2 million dollars in new tax revenue and thousands of jobs.
The plot of land is on 95th Avenue, just south of Montebello. Proposition 401 will ask voters whether this land should be rezoned. “Proposition 401 would change the zoning for a parcel of land 10 acres that was originally zoned for park space to allow VAI to build an office building and a large parking lot,” said Brendan Walsh, Worker Power Executive Director.
Prop 402 is related to the planned area development, or pad. Voting yes on both propositions will allow the property’s zoning to go from parks and open space to a corporate commerce center. A no vote would change that. “Our research indicates that they’ve been doing so since July of 2024, despite the fact that the zoning change was not voted on until November of 2024,” Walsh said.
City officials, however, say they never had plans to move forward with a park. “So that’s supposed to be open space or for parks. I’d much rather take my kids to a park than a parking lot, frankly,” said Shawn Foley, who lives in Glendale.
Foley argued the city has supported VAI while overlooking other neighborhood needs. “I happen to live in a part of Glendale that I see the roads. I see the streets. I see various areas just in all parts of Glendale that need help, so I think the city should pay a little more attention, a lot more attention to other sectors in Glendale,” he explained.
Thursday, the city said it had waived $5 million of the resort’s estimated $7 million in permitting fees. The same incentive the city offered Nestle, White Claw and Red Bull.
City officials said VAI is building at its own risk, but vowed to work with the company if voters don’t approve Prop. 401 and 402.
If an agreement is never reached, VAI will need to tear down the building, something VAI’s CEO and president Grant Fischer wants to avoid. “If we were to lose it would put a big stall in this it would. It would stall the jobs being hired. It would stall the economic growth and honestly, it would be very concerning for other developers looking at Arizona wanting to invest in the state,” said Fischer.
The group Worker Power has raised concerns over VAI before. It led a failed ballot initiative to raise the minimum wage for Glendale’s hospitality workers.
The city manager estimates the group has cost the city $1 million on elections.

Mexico City-based Michelin-starred taqueria El Califa de Leon will take over Glendale in a four-day pop-up event from June 26 to 29, confirmed Westgate Entertainment District.
“This open-air pop-up brings sizzling griddles, chef-driven flavor, and an electric street taco atmosphere right to the heart of Glendale,” according to an announcement from Westgate.
The small and humble establishment sits in the middle of Mexico City’s San Rafael neighborhood and has more than 70 years of history. In May 2024, it earned Michelin-star recognition after delighting the palates of inspectors during multiple visits. The honor made Califa de Leon the first and, so far, only Michelin-starred taqueria in the world.
Why El Califa de Leon is so special
“There is a reason why El Califa de León has endured for more than half a century. This taqueria may be bare bones with just enough room for a handful of diners to stand at the counter, but its creation, the Gaonera taco, is exceptional. Thinly sliced beef filet is expertly cooked to order, seasoned with only salt and a squeeze of lime,” the Michelin guide website said.
The menu consists of only four different meats, two kinds of salsa and freshly handmade corn tortillas. Mario Hernández Alonso, owner of the taqueria and son of the original founders, says there’s another key step for success in their recipes.
“My father said, ‘Do you want me to tell you the secret of the meat? There is no secret, only love and effort,’” Hernandez Alonso said to the Mexican media outlet Milenio.
El Califa de Leon Taqueria pop-up events have started to take over cities across the United States, and the Valley of the Sun has not fallen behind. Hernandez Alonso brought his flavors to Tempe and North Phoenix a couple of weeks ago, and now he’s continuing the tour to the West Valley.
When is El Califa de Leon's Glendale pop-up?
Here are the details of El Califa de Leon Taqueria pop-up happening in Glendale. Important note: The Inaugural Taco Bite Ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Jun. 26.
When: Thursday through Sunday, June 26 to 29, from noon to 10 p.m.
Where: 9425 W. Entertainment Blvd., Glendale.
“Doors open daily at 12 p.m., but early arrival is strongly encouraged – quantities are limited and lines are expected,” a Westgate statement said.
What's on El Califa de Leon's pop-up restaurant menu?
El Califa de Leon's menu is described as “solid, precise and concise” as it offers only four types of tacos: their legendary gaonera (beef filet), bistec (beef steak), costilla (beef rib) and chuleta (pork chop). The meats are thinly sliced, carefully seared with a dash of salt and lime, served over their freshly hand-made corn tortillas and accompanied by green or red salsa.
The specialties that will be available on-site at the Glendale pop-up, according to tacoboutglendale.com, are:

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — The massive VAI Resort project in Glendale will continue after a narrow split on two key ballot measures..
Both Prop. 401 and 402 focus on 10 acres of the resort property being built near State Farm Stadium. Prop. 401 would allow the construction of office buildings and a parking garage as part of the resort project. Voters rejected this ballot measure.
Developers are claiming victory with the passage of Prop 402. That proposition is changing the zoning rules to allow commercial development on the land. According to Friday night results, it passed with 50.94% of voters thereby allowing the zoning change .
“As we said throughout this campaign, this was about more than just VAI Resort. I deeply appreciate the support of our entire coalition, including elected officials, the business community, and public safety leaders,” said “Yes for Glendale” campaign chairman Grant Fisher. “VAI Resort will be a tremendous asset and destination for Arizona, built by Arizonans. We can’t wait to welcome the world to Glendale.”
Last year, the Glendale City Council unanimously approved rezoning the sliver of land just southeast of the resort for office space and parking. The developer has already started building the offices, but the rejection of Prop 401 could force developers to redesign or resubmit plans for that space.
Labor group Worker Power previously cited environmental concerns and claimed the city needed more parks. So, they gathered enough signatures to put the issue up for a special election. However, there was never a park in that area, and none were planned for it either.
VAI Resort was first announced in 2020. It will have 1,100 rooms, artificial beaches, a two-story nightclub and an 11,000-seat concert venue. Supporters say it will create 2,000 jobs and have an economic impact of $2 billion. The $1.2 billion resort was supposed to open in 2023, then 2024, and is now scheduled to open at the end of this year.

Kendrick Lamar is bringing his Grand National Tour with SZA to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.
The tour is in support of “GNX,” a surprise release that topped the Billboard album chart in late November 2024, Lamar's fourth consecutive release to do so.
The Grand National Tour launched on April 19 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis to glowing reviews.
The Minnesota Star Tribune raved, "The biggest takeaway from Saturday’s Kendrick Lamar concert … was confirmation of what Twin Cities (hip-hop) lovers already suspected from his previous, smaller shows: He’s the G.O.A.T.”
Billboard wrote, “If Kendrick’s stage show is a masterclass of a laser-focused vision, SZA’s is a revelation of creative energy.”
And USA TODAY weighed in: "The pair showcased how dichotomous stagecraft and differing cadences can lead to a beautiful collision."
This is the Pulitzer Prize-winning hip-hop icon’s first metro Phoenix concert since 2022, when the Big Steppers Tour played Footprint Center (now PHX Arena) in downtown Phoenix in support of his "Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers" album. In 2018 he brought the Top Dawg Championship Tour to Ak-Chin Pavilion (now Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre) in Phoenix.
SZA headlined Footprint Center in 2024 in support of "SOS," a second album that topped the charts and made the rounds of year-end critics’ lists, from BPM to Consequence and Brooklyn Vegan. The album sent five singles to the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, including the chart-topping "Kill Bill," which went five times platinum.
SZA and Lamar topped Billboard’s Hot 100 earlier this year with “Luther,” and went Top 10 with “30 for 30,” adding to their list of hit collaborations.
