Integrating Personal Protection Dog Into Your House

The most important part of K9 Tech Security Deliver phase or our selling process is integration of your new personal protection dog into your house.   This dog was exceptionally trained by our trainers.   At the same time, this K9 is not a machine — this is a unique living animal that will become your personal and family protector.

This step is critical, making sure you and your family form a strong bond with your new dog, you know how to take care of it, and how to manage and control this amazing animal.

We do not have a fixed number of days for this effort — different customers may require a different time duration during each step.  It typically takes between one to two weeks to complete this introduction.  With all our customers we rely on our integration process below.

  • Introduction

    • Delivery: One of our principals personally delivers the new dog to you and your family.
    • Demonstration: We will demonstrate your dog’s obedience and protection abilities.
    • Behavior:  We hold a discussion of your dog’s behavior, psychology and unique mentality.
    • Understanding Principles:  We make sure you understand the basic protection dog training and control principles.

  • Control

    To teach you how to build the proper relationship with your dog, we need to make sure you understand and able to do the following:

    • Positive reinforcement (reword) of your dog.
    • How to correct your dog.
    • How to play with your dog in a productive and safe manner.
    • Practice commands and behavior controls.
    • On-leash and off-leash control.
    • Using e-collar effectively.

  • Building Relationship

    Now that you understand basic training and dog control techniques, we will focus on you building a stronger bond with your dog by —

    • Practice having fun and play.
    • Practice in various public environments and situations.
    • Daily care of your performance K9 including —
      • Feeding
      • Grooming and washing
      • Healthy treats
      • Taking care of injuries and deseases

  • Protection

    You purchased this dog for personal and family protection.  Now that you have all the basic skills how to take care and starting to build a relationship with your PPD, you must have some experience activating the dog in various protection scenarios as follows:

    • Practicing protection scenarios applicable to your needs.
    • How to Our and remove your PPD after an attack.

  • Transition to Life

    You are ready to be on your own with your new partner.  Before we leave you, we need to make sure that you are —

    • Comfortable handing your new partner.
    • You have all the required equipment and information to take care of your PPD.
    • Your dog built a good starting relationship with you and comfortable following your commands.
    • We have addressed all your questions and concerns.
    • You understand how to maintain your dog’s performance into the long future with you and your family.
