The call that started it all!
Sometime ago, we received a call from a construction company owner. He stated that he was very interested in getting our dogs to protect his construction site as he suffered considerable losses as a result of theft and vandalism. He also told us that hiring human security guards is expensive and ineffective as many times the guards fall asleep on the job or do not show up.
Guard dog versus protection K9 dog
Many property owners are interested in “guard dogs”. There is a big difference between a “guard dog” and a trained protection dog. A typical guard dog is not trained to guard property. A guard dog does his work because it has natural territorial guarding and defense instincts. It is barking and may even bite an intruder because it is afraid of the intruder on its territory. Guard dogs do not go through extensive obedience and bite training. They may be effective enough guarding a relatively smaller territory, but they are very unlikely to engage an intruder while the intruder is further away from the house or their kennel.
We train our protection dogs to search and intercept an intruder on command. The “command” may be given automatically by our security system, by a property owner, or by a security monitoring operator. The dog will either hold the intruder in place by aggressively barking or attacking the dangerous intruder. In most cases, our protection dogs can also serve as personal protection dogs outside the property. Protection dog would refuse food from an intruder. It will not stand next to the fence barking at the intruder allowing an intruder to injure the dog. Therefore, our protection dogs are much more effective for the task of guarding commercial sites.
In most cases, our protection dogs are housed on the the commercial site property in one of ours climate controlled kennels. The owner do not have to take care of the dogs. We can provide a resource that will walk, play, and train the dogs periodically.

The benefits of our video surveillance and analytics system goes beyond protection. Owners and managers can monitor the site remotely. Our Cawamo AI analytics system can be setup to generate alarms for various work related issues such as regulatory OSHA compliance. For example, if workers do not comply with wearing yellow vests and safety helmets, our system can detect this variance and alert the off-site owner or manager. The system can also monitor other irregularities such as worker theft or worker absenteeism. The system can identify unauthorized vehicles that drive onto a construction site, for example.
