K9 Personal Protection Dogs in Massachusetts
Imagine this: You are on a business trip to Boston in the state of Massachusetts for an important industry conference in a luxury hotel. Your hotel is just a few blocks from the conference, and you took a late evening walk to attend a couple of evening meeting with your CEO peers. You always have your personal protection K9, Oz, on your side as no senior executive can feel completely safe these days. You walk on a street passing a parked van, Oz seemed to be unusually alert.
When you pass the van, Oz turns back and pounces. Simultaneously, you hear a gun shot and feel pain in your leg. You also hear excruciating cries of pain in the back. You realize you were shot, and Oz stopped the shooter in his tracks. You are injured but alive! This $120,000 personal protection dog just saved your life and more than justified the high price!
There is no need for a lot of imagination. This scenario actually happened in New York! Unfortunately, the CEO that was shot did not have a personal protection dog with him, and the killer was able to kill the CEO with subsequent shot. We published an article about this event on our News page.
That’s why more and more executives and their families are looking for personal protection dogs for sale in Massachusetts. Protection K9s help solidify safety, protect peace of mind, and provide lasting relationships with your family.
The issue, though, is that finding great protection dogs for sale can be difficult, especially if you don’t know where to start. If you’re in a similar position, or don’t trust the providers in your area, working with a company like K9 Tech Security could be the solution you need.
What is a Personal Protection K9?
The best personal protection dogs must possess several demanding characteristics to be effective in their role. A protection dog must have high drive, high intelligence, be very trainable, athletic, and mentally balanced. A personal protection K9 dog is a highly trained protector of your family. What was once considered a luxury, is now increasingly viewed as practical, mobile security solution for those who cannot afford to take chances in an increasingly dangerous world.
K9 has become a common term for working police and military dogs. When we refer to working dogs, we refer to dogs that are capable performing police and military tasks such as detection, tracking and protection. Personal and family protection dogs must meet even higher standards of the best police and military dogs as they must be able to calmly live with your family and at the same time be able to turn on aggression at a time of need.

How Does K9 Tech Security Chooses Personal Protection Dogs for Sale in Massachusetts?
K9 Tech Security puts great emphasis on selecting and training dogs for each area in the US and for each individual customer. The weather in Massachusetts may be very cold in the winter, and your personal protection K9 must thrive in both warmer and cold weather. Each customer has unique security requirements. We have had customers who are single but travel a lot on business (similar to the imaginary executive in the story above) and wanted a dog that would accompany them everywhere they go. Others have small children, and they are concerned about their protection. K9 Tech Security chooses and trains each dog custom for your needs.
K9 Tech Security has a well developed rigorous process of selecting, training and delivering these family guardians as follows.
Top Dog Breeds for Personal Protection and Guarding for Massachusetts Residents
Typical working breeds are the German Shepherd Dog (the first breed that was created for doing police and military work), Giant Schnauzer, Malinois (or the Belgian Shepherd), Dutch Shepherd, Doberman Pinscher, Rottweiler, and the Bouvier Des Flanders. There are a few others, but these are the most common breeds used by police and military today.
Different breeds have different characteristics, but dogs within the same breed can also be very different in character and even physical capabilities. This is why we focus more on the dog’s pedigree than its breed when selecting suitable dogs. For Massachusetts, we would choose a dog that thrives in both in a cold weather and at the same time can deliver your security needs for your family and yourself.
